About English Partner in Velachery
Explained in Tamil. Practised in English. One trainer, only you.
Velachery is a commute. Out towards Taramani and the OMR offices in the morning, back through the same bottleneck at night. By the time you are home, the last thing anyone wants is to get on a two-wheeler again for an English class.
That is the most common reason people here start a course and stop three weeks in. Not motivation, distance. So we removed it. Your class happens on WhatsApp and in a live one-to-one session, at a time you pick, from wherever you are sitting.
It is the same class whether you are a student, working in an office, at home with children, looking for a job or running a small business. The trainer explains in Tamil, practises with you in English, and works on the mistakes you actually make.
Our Chennai office

Our Core Values
At English Partner, our core values shape every lesson and interaction.
Empower through communication
Clear communication transforms lives. It builds confidence, opens opportunities, and fuels personal growth.
Bridge gaps through language
Language should connect, not divide. We make English approachable for those left behind by traditional methods.
Treat language as a tool for growth
English isn’t just a subject. It’s a skill that can unlock better opportunities, whether it's for work, study, or self-expression. We teach with that purpose in mind.
Learner First approach
We design every course around the person learning it. Their pace, their comfort, their goals. Learning works best when it adapts to the learner, not the other way around.
Blending Education & Technology
As a language hub we’re trying to utilize technology to its best and become a game changer in the field of language learning.

Learning English from Velachery
Our Velachery learners split fairly evenly between people who are studying and people who are working, and they need opposite timings. Students take the afternoon and early evening. Working people take the late evening after the ride home, or the weekend.
Because sessions are one to one, that is not a problem. There is no fixed batch to join, so nobody has to choose between the class and the traffic.
The other thing we hear constantly in this part of the city is the mixed-office problem. Your team has people from Hyderabad, Kochi and Kolkata, so the working language is English whether you are ready for it or not. Short daily practice is built exactly for that: a few minutes a day on the sentences you will need in tomorrow's meeting.
Velachery, Guindy, Adambakkam, Madipakkam, Pallikaranai, Medavakkam or Thiruvanmiyur, it makes no difference to the class. Everything is online.

-
Adambakkam and Nanganallur
Students and homemakers, mostly daytime and early-evening timings.
-
Madipakkam and Pallikaranai
Families and working people, and a steady stream of interview preparation.
-
Medavakkam and Thiruvanmiyur
Working professionals, and the most workplace-communication questions we get from this side.

Frequently asked questions
What does the course cost?
Fees run from ₹4,000 to ₹18,000 depending on the level you start at and how long it runs. The free level test tells you your level, so you know the exact fee before deciding anything.
Do I have to travel anywhere?
No. Classes run on WhatsApp plus live one-to-one sessions, from wherever you are. Our Chennai office is on Anna Salai in Teynampet if you ever want to walk in, but nothing about the course requires it.
Can I take the class after work?
Yes. Late-evening and weekend slots are what most working learners in Velachery choose. Tell us your window and we place you around it.
My team speaks English all day and I freeze. Can you help with that?
That is one of the most common requests we get from this area. We practise the meeting, the call and the quick update as spoken drills, not as grammar lessons.
What if I miss a day?
The practice waits for you and the trainer adjusts. You are not holding up a batch of thirty people, which is the advantage of one to one.
Will the trainer explain in Tamil?
Yes. And in Telugu, Kannada, Hindi or Malayalam if that is your first language, which comes up often in Velachery.
Do I need a laptop?
No. A phone is enough. The live sessions and the daily practice both run through WhatsApp.
Can I change my timing later?
Yes. There is no batch, so your slot can move when your work or college timing changes.
